The New Moon phase is a time for introspection and reflection. Meditation using a candle for focus is a good way to refresh yourself.
1. For this meditation, light a white candle in front of you. Light some incense if you wish.
2. Focus on the flame of the candle.
3. Close your eyes and see the flame vividly in your mind. Imagine yourself diving deeply into the center of the light. Then, visualize yourself as part of that light.
4. Try to allow your gaze to soften and your mind to release into gentle thoughts of what is within. Within the flame and within your mind.
Try using this chant (or whatever feels good for you):
"Body, mind, and spirit here,
Help me to refresh and clear
All that seems to weigh me down,
Light and free, I am unbound."
